Admission Criteria

Whether you’re coming straight from high school or transferring from another college, Aultman College welcomes you to start your nursing journey with our Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (AASDMS) program.

Before acceptance to Aultman College, you’ll need to meet all admission requirements. To be considered for the AASDMS program, applicants must:

First time attending college:

  • 3.0 minimum High School GPA (or GED score of 660+, HiSET score of 75+)
  • Standardize Test Score (one of the following):
    • 20 minimum ACT
    • 1030 combined minimum SAT
    • 250 minimum Reading and 263 minimum Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra and Statistics ACCUPLACER NextGen

College transfer:

  • 6 minimum credit hours of college coursework
  • 2.5 minimum GPA based on the most recent college transcript

If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to be considered for admission to the Sonography Program upon completion of all application requirements. Selection of applicants is based on this AASDMS ranking criteria.

Transfer Credits

Aultman College will evaluate each applicant’s earned credits from all official post-secondary transcripts to ensure that the earned credits meet an 80% content match and are consistent with Aultman College’s course levels. If the earned credits are consistent with the Aultman College course requirements, they will be reviewed on an individual basis.

Aultman College Health Insurance Requirement

Aultman College requires all radiography students to have health insurance, as good health is essential to academic success. It is mandatory that all radiography students who do not have health insurance purchase their own policy.

Aultman College also requires certain immunizations for radiography degree students.
