Graduation Requirements

You’ve worked hard now here’s what it takes to reach the finish line!
Before earning your Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree, you’ll need to complete a few key steps to ensure you’re fully prepared for your next chapter as a registered nurse.

To graduate, students must:

  • Successfully complete all ASN program curriculum requirements
  • Meet the residency requirement by completing at least 41 of the 73 total credit hours at Aultman College
  • Complete a minimum of 6 hours of community service
  • Participate in a standardized NCLEX review course offered by the program
  • Finish financial aid exit counseling and resolve any outstanding financial obligations
  • Complete the Graduate Exit Survey
  • Return your student ID badge and any borrowed equipment, library books, or program supplies

These steps ensure you’re fully prepared academically, professionally, and personally to take the NCLEX and begin your nursing career with confidence.

Clinical Rotations

Clinical learning is a vital part of the Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program at Aultman College. Each student is required to complete a set number of clinical hours as part of the program’s graduation requirements. These hours give you the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in real-world healthcare environments and develop the essential skills needed to become a confident, capable nurse.

Clinical experiences take place under the direct supervision of Aultman College nursing faculty in a variety of settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community health organizations. This exposure helps you gain experience across multiple areas of patient care and prepares you for success in today’s fast-paced healthcare field.

Please note that students are responsible for their own transportation to and from clinical assignments.
